DAVID L. BUCHER
WAPAKONETA — David L. Bucher, 70, of Wapakoneta, died 5:09 p.m., Tues. April 25, 2017, at his home. He was born Oct. 11, 1946, in Allen Co., the son of Truman & Gladys (Pitchford) Bucher, who preceded him in death. On July 18, 1970, he married Christina Neeley, and she survives.
Other survivors include, 2 sons, Timothy (Kathy) Bucher, Crafton, MD, Brent Bucher, Dublin, OH, 2 grandsons, Kenton & Karsten Bucher, 2 brothers, Dennis (Sandra) Bucher, Costa Mesa, CA, David's twin, Daniel (Judy) Bucher, Lima, 2 sisters-in-law, Vivian Bucher, Cape May, NJ, Beverly Bucher, Lima.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Bucher, Laura (Edward) Doyle, and Kenneth Bucher.
David retired on 2002, from the Ford Motor Co., Lima Engine Plant after 38 years of service. He proudly served in the U.S Army during the Vietnam War. He was a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene, Wapakoneta. David enjoyed working on computers, autos and was an avid fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes. He dearly loved his grandchildren, family, and his church family. David had the knack of being able to fix anything except the crack of dawn or a broken heart.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sat. April 29, 2017, at the Church of the Nazarene, 401 Court St., Wapakoneta, with Pastor Stephen Ambrose officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m., until time of the service, Sat. at the church. Military rites will be conducted by the Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post #8445 at the church following the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Lymphoma-Leukemia Society or the Church of the Nazarene. Arrangements are being conducted by the Bayliff & Eley Funeral home, Wapakoneta, where condolences may be expressed at www.bayliffandeleyfh.com.
