GROVE CITY -- Delpha A. McDonald, 83 of Grove City, formerly of Lima, passed away May 11, 2022, at 5:29 pm, at Meadow Grove Transitional Care.
Delpha was born July 2, 1938 in Minno, SD, to Albert and Elsie (Schamber) Rein, who preceded her in death. On December 18, 1959, she married Raymond E. McDonald Sr., who preceded her in death on September 5, 1989.
Delpha was employed by the Lima News for many years and she enjoyed crocheting. She had a wonderful sense of humor and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Delpha is survived by her son, Raymond E. McDonald Jr. of Columbus, OH; daughter, Becky Hoover of Orient, OH; grandson, Mason Hoover of Orient, OH; son-in-law, Steve Hoover; sister-in-law, Harlene Rein of Wilmington, OH and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Donald Ray McDonald; daughter, Karen Ann McDonald and brothers, Waldemar Rein and Larry (Wanda) Rein.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL with Pastor Brad Taylor to officiate the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
