FINDLAY — Emma Gillian McColloch Klausing, 19, entered glory and the presence of her Savior on August 3, 2021 as the result of a car accident in Delaware, Ohio. She was born February 15, 2002, in Lima, to Angela Renee McColloch Klausing and James Andrew Klausing. Emma was a graduate of Findlay High School, where she had gone through the Millstream program. She was employed as a skilled trade welder at Vaughn's Industries in Carey.
From the moment she took her first breath, Emma was a force of nature. Her family always knew Emma was the child who was so very headstrong that she would do what she planned, regardless of the obstacles. God blessed her with a beautiful, impish grin that helped her get away with many of those plans. Even as a baby, Emma would crawl under the pews at the church her father pastored, climb up onto the altar area and from there, wave to her mother. She kept her family vigilant, all the way smiling and shaking their heads.
Emma was fiercely loyal and loving towards her family and friends. She would take time from her busy day to send pictures to each of them just to make them smile. Their happiness was her joy. And she especially enjoyed sending goofy pictures of herself, just to brighten their day.
Recently engaged to "The Love of her Life", Elijah James Freed popped the question and Emma accepted, days before her death. Together, they had purchased a home, adopted Baxter (their dog), and made plans for a bright future.
Along with her parents and Elijah, Emma is grieved by two brothers, Jeremy Robert (Bayley) Klausing of Hubert, NC, and Scott Alexander (Sydney) Klausing of Denham Springs, LA; and a sister, Abigail Marie McColloch Klausing of Lima. She is also survived by grandparents, Jack and Carolyn Klausing of Columbus Grove, Sarah Elizabeth (Michael) Lewis of Elida, and Tom (Sonnie) McColloch of Lima; several aunts, cousins and friends. Emma was preceded in death by a grandmother, Beverly Moretti.
Friends and family may visit on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500).
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 11th in the funeral home at 2 p.m. The service will be officiated by her father, Pastor Jim Klausing.
