LIMA - Esther S. Moreno, 69, passed away on September 21, 2023, at 9:19 am, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Esther was born August 4, 1954, in San Antonio, TX, to Apolonio and Lupe (Lara) Moreno who both preceded her in death.
Esther graduated from Ottawa Glandorf High School in 1972. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a very talented pool player and won various championships. She enjoyed puzzles and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes. Esther cherished her family dearly and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Esther is survived by her children, Mel Helton, Alina Helton, Willie (Jasmine) Helton, Darlene Henry, Amber Riley, grandchildren, Shapria Daniels, Khailio Youngblood, Bradell Youngblood, Cashmeir Russell, Edward Henry, Jr., Terrald Smith and Taraya Smith, siblings, Apolonio (Kathryn) Moreno, Jr., Teresa (Terry) Schroeder, Edward Moreno, Martin Moreno, Carmen Moreno, sisters-in-law, Johnnie McClellan, Annie Bundley and special friend, Janice Jones.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Moreno, siblings, Margaret Moreno, Paul Moreno and son-in-law, Edward Henry, Sr.
A visitation will be on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Shawnee Chapel.
