GRACE YODER
LIMA — Grace Delight (Bucher) Yoder, 80, of Lima, passed away at 3:30 a.m., Sunday, July 10, 2016 in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born to Harold and Ruth (Horst) Bucher on January 14, 1936 in Upland, CA. She was united in marriage to Henry Yoder on April 26, 1958 and they were married for 58 years, he survives in Lima.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth (Lovina) Yoder of Sarasota, FL; three daughters, Ruth Ann (David) Howard, Rhoda (Ron) Bear, and Elaine (Dave) Hefner; 14 grandchildren, Casey, Heidi, and Anthony Yoder, Cree, Elizabeth, and Savannah Nettleton, Natalia (Leland) Schrock, Benji (Emily) Bear, Jonathan Bear, and Neil, Calvin, Aaron, Russell, and Delaina Hefner; three great-grandchildren, Evan, Koen, and Jaxon; four sisters, Violet (William) Bear, Marie (Carol) Smith, Margaret (Richard) Ross, and Miriam (Wilmer) Good.
She was preceded in death by one brother, James Bucher.
Grace was a friend to many in the community through her Stanley Home Products business. She enjoyed the winters in Florida, where being with her family and playing games, especially shuffle board were her highlights. She enjoyed family gatherings, especially those that included her grandchildren. She was a member of Sharon Mennonite Church in Elida and she was a 1957 graduate of Elida High School.
Funeral services will be on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Sharon Mennonite Church, with calling one hour prior to the service. John Brunk and Lyndon Hartman will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral home. My mind and heart has been toward the Yoder family the last couple of days. It's been almost 5 months since my Pops arrival in Heaven and it has been ONE of the most difficult things to walk through in my life,even knowing that he is enjoying the glories of Heaven. It is still fresh on my mind and my heart, so my heart cries for you and your loss. I have many memories of Grace. The longer I thought of it, the more came to mind. Elaine, Ill have to share someday :) I always thought she was a pretty lady and had an infectious laugh

Rhoda , I am so sorry for your loss. You had a sweet Mama. She told me how much she enjoyed taking a trip with you and Elaine in the back seat (10 years ago? At a big fellowship meeting in Ind.) and "they just carried on like they did when they were still teenagers, laughing and talking and teasing each other!" I can still see and hear her laughing. Such a joy to be around.

I know Grace was one amazing woman who touched many lives, because it is beautifully reflected in her gracious, kind & selfless daughter, Ruth Ann, whom I have the privilege to call my friend.

Grace was a lovely lady in every sense of the word. I appreciated how she took time to get to know people while sharing the Stanley Products she sold. It was because she truly cared for others. Grace was always such a dear sweet lady that I loved intensely. When my sister and I would be guests in her home, she always made us feel loved and cherished. I always looked up to her as a role model and am sad that she has passed away but know that she is enjoying Heaven and all it's glory. God bless you as a family, I pray that you will feel God's loving arms around you. She will be deeply missed, I am sure.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of my dear friend Grace. She always had a smile on her face, a spring in her step and a wonderful sense of humor. She took the time to talk to a friend and share a fond memory of times gone by. It is
