Irene was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos. She was a home maker and a farmer's wife. She loved playing bingo, square dancing, gardening, and loved to shop, but truly loved crocheting many things for her family, especially her grandchildren. Irene's driving force in life was her faith. Her faith showed through in all she did from the 14 years she spent building her Vancrest family through to her own family; especially the faith and dedication she spent on being a very proud farmer's wife.
