LIMA -- Jack W. Hunt, age 76, passed away on February 22, 2022, at 5:10 am, at the Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center. Jack was born January 26, 1946, in Lima, OH, to Roy C. and Mary I. (Roose) Hunt who preceded him in death.
Jack had attended Bath High School and graduated from Lima Senior High School. He had worked his entire career with the Lima News where he started as a paperboy and ended as the production foreman retiring in 2013. Jack enjoyed boating and riding his electric bicycle. He was very fond of his grandchildren and great grandchildren and dearly loved his dog "Roxie".
Jack is survived by his children: Keith W. Hunt, M. Brian (Donna Grant) Hunt, Kevin A. (Angie) Hunt all of Lima, OH, Megan R. Hunt of Henderson, NV and Jeremy Hunt of Lima, OH, 5 grandchildren: Damen Hunt, Daniel Hunt, Haley Hunt, Justin Bennett and Camrin Hunt, 2 great grandchildren: Julian and Ryland Whitney, siblings: Roy (Irene) Hunt Jr. of Lima, OH, Shirley Nickolson of Lima, OH, Chris (VJ) Gonzalez of TX, Barb (Michael) Watkins of Lima, OH, brother in-law, Eddie Hurst of Lima, OH, sister in-law, Sheila Hunt of Lima, OH and his previous spouses; Marina Hunt and Pamela Shrider. He was preceded in death by siblings: John (Dixie) Hunt, Steve Hunt, Carol (Glen) Shumpert, Kathy Hursts, Donald Hunt, David (Deb) Hunt and twin infant siblings, Gary and Gerald Hunt and a brother in-law, Dewey A. Nickolson.
There will be a Celebration of Life and a time of sharing held on Monday, February 28, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum following the service.
Friends may visit on Monday from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to Deb's dogs. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
