COLUMBUS GROVE -- James V. Core, 94, died Sunday, March 13, 2022, at The Meadows of Delphos, in Delphos, Ohio. He was born at home east of Columbus Grove, Ohio, on March 2, 1928, to Glen and Edith (LaRue) Core. They both preceded him in death.
On July 1, 1950, he married M. Pauline Stover who preceded him in death. James is survived by son James Core, living in Vail, AZ;. daughter Janet (Lloyd) Edwards, living in Lima, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Carol Core, and brothers Nolan (Mary) Core, Glen (Dollie) Core, Richard (Monie) Core, and Jack (Shirley) Core.
James graduated from Columbus Grove High School, and worked at Excello Corporation, which later became Airfoil Textron, until he retired. He loved spending time with his family, enjoyed gardening, cared for animals, enjoyed hunting, restoring antique tractors, traveling and vacations, and carpentry. He built three houses.
A service will be held on Sunday, March 20, at 4:00 p.m. preceded by viewing from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Hartman Sons Funeral Home in Columbus Grove, Ohio.
