LIMA — James Michael 'Mike' Stant, 54, passed away 12:45 p.m., Tuesday, April 27 at Lima Memorial surrounded by his family. James was born on October 17, 1966 in Lima to the late James Thomas and Patty Jean (Bear) Stant. He married Vicki Lynn Cotterman on October 15, 1994 and she survives in Lima.
He leaves behind a daughter Amber (Steven) Gardner, step-daughter Kelly Cotterman, step-son Jeremy Cotterman, sister Jennifer (John) Phillips, long time friend Glen Orwig and seven grandchildren: Breanna, Christian and Chayce Gardner, Lauren Jones, London Carter, Laikin, Emmitt Cotterman, 3 nieces, 2 nephews all of Lima and an uncle Steven (Robin) Bear of Van Wert. Ohio.
Mike loved having bonfires, watching wrestling and spending time with his loved ones. His favorite football teams were Cincinnati Bengals and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is preceded in death by several paternal and maternal relatives.
Special thanks to his caregiver Teresa Millirans.
