JERRY DINGLEDINE
LIMA — Jerry D. Dingledine, 76, of Lima, died at 5:26 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017 in the emergency room of Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born Sept. 18, 1940 in Lima to Lawrence and Dorothy (Ruth) Dingledine, Sr., who preceded him in death. He was married to Shelba Jean Castle, who preceded him in death.
Jerry was a long-time employee of Airfoil Textron, formerly Ex-Cell-O. He was a member of the Lima Seventh-day Adventist Church where he collected food for their Food Bank. He was a ham radio operator and was fascinated with any form of electronic gadgetry. He is most remembered by his wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed traveling and loved his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include four children: Deborah Jean Crawford of Findlay, Teresa (Steve) Davis of Lima, Jeffrey Dingledine of Kenton and Linda Converse of Florida; a sister-Janet Hunter of Ohio; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The following siblings preceded him in death: Alice Hughes, Mary Lou Dunlap and Lawrence Dingledine, Jr.
Services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, with Pastor Don Byard officiating, where friends and family may call one hour prior to the service.
