PHOENIX, Ariz. — Our beloved Son, Brother, Brother-In-Law, Father, Grandfather and Friend, John R. Detwiler, has been summoned by God at the age of 60 on Friday March 2, 2018, in Phoenix, Arizona. John was born on October 22, 1957 in Kokomo, Indiana to the proud parents of Clarence "Jim" and Virginia "Ginny" Detwiler. John was the third son of four boys. Brothers, James "Tom" (Brenda), Jeff and Justin. Ever since then his journey through life has been an adventurous one.
He graduated from Lima Senior High in Lima, Ohio. John had refined numerous skills such as Masonry, Mechanics, Carpentry and earned his Pilot's License and accomplished riding a unicycle. He loved to water and snow ski as well as ice boating and sailing. He had an unbelievable great sense of anything mechanical and always knew how to fix or modify anything.
He had been married and was graced with four children. Two daughters, Carrie and John'et and two sons, John II and Jacob; seven grandchildren, Jordan, Tyler, Paige, Bella, Eric, Genova and Jade; two nieces, Jennifer and Jessica.
He was preceded in death by his father Jim.
Celebration of life for John will be at noon Saturday, June 2, with a lunch to follow at the Church at Allentown, 4900 Allentown Road, Elida, OH with Neal Whitney officiating. Please come celebrate John's life with is family and friends.
