JOSEPH LUNA
FINDLAY — Joseph W. Luna, 48, of Findlay, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, at 3:14 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2014, at the O.S.U. Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. He was born on February 26, 1965, in Bowling Green to John L. and Gordia Joann (Bennett) Luna. He married Stephanie Simon on May 20, 1989, and they were divorced.
Joseph is survived by his daughters: Jayne (Michael) Catlett and Elizabeth Luna, both of Findlay; the loving mother of his children, Stephanie Luna-Simon of Findlay; his father John (Janet) Luna II of Deshler; his brothers: Samuel Luna of Findlay and Ralph Luna of Rudolph, OH; and his half sister-Rose Marie Luna of Deshler.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gordia Joann Dean; his brother, John Luna III; his half-brother, Matthew Willis Luna; his sister, Debra Luna; his grandmother, Helen Gossman.
Joseph was a passionate truck driver, having driven for himself as well as Quality Farm and Fleet. He also loved scrapping materials as a hobby. He was the type of person that never met a stranger and was a great friend to all. He loved driving truck, but his greatest love and passion in life was his family, as he was an excellent father.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2014, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, with Pastor William Miller officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
