GREENVILLE, MI -- Kenneth Renner, 82, of Greenville, MI, formerly of Delphos, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025 at Lakeview Terrace Assisted Living, Lakeview, MI at 6:35 p.m. surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 15, 1943 in Delphos to Richard and Imelda (Ricker) Renner, who both preceded him in death. On June 11, 1988 at St. John's in Delphos he married Carol J. (Edington) Renner who survives in Greenville, MI.
Kenny is survived by his children, Brett (RaLinda) Shindledecker of Stanton, MI, Ronald Renner, Lori Shindledecker (Timm) of Edmore, MI; grandchildren, Brandon Shindledecker of Lima, Cole Ehlert of Greenville, MI, Layne Ehlert of Greenville, MI, Tyler (Kaitlin) Creech who is serving in the U.S. Marines, and Greg (Jami) Adams who is serving in the U.S. Air Force; great-grandchildren, Kolten and Noah Shindledecker, Maddie Creech, Jessie Creech, Melania Adams, Dane Adams. Kenny is also survived by his siblings, Angela Hoehn of Delphos, Arlene Wagner of Delphos and Doris Sturgeon of Lima; a sister-in-law, Louise Renner of Van Wert.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Renner; brothers-in-law, Donald Hoehn, and Ron Wagner.
Kenny was a lifelong farmer. He also retired from Ford Motor in Lima. He loved working six days a week, kept Sunday holy. He also enjoyed camping all over the US, especially Huggy Bear, gardening, St. John's basketball and the Liar's Table at Jim's. Above all he loved doing anything with Carol. Kenny was known for his strength, but he was a gentle giant. He was a great dancer, especially polka and square dancing.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 4:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to National Parkinsons's and St. John's School.
There will be a celebration of life for Kenneth in Greenville Michigan. It will be Sunday October 19th, 2-5 at Greenville Michigan Senior Center, 715 S. Baldwin St., Greenville, MI. 48838.
