Linda Lehman Obituary

PANDORA — Linda Lou Levan Lehman, 72, of Pandora, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 8, 2021, at Hilty Memorial Home in Pandora, Ohio. She was born on June 12, 1949 to Ernie and Helen LeVan of West Mansfield, Ohio.

On June 5, 1971 she married Richard W. Lehman of Pandora, Ohio who survives.

Linda was predeceased by her daughter, Andrea L. Lehman on January 23, 1982.

Linda is survived by four children, Amy Lehman (David) Mikesell of Bluffton, Ohio, Aaron (Kathy) Lehman of Richwood, Ohio, Anna (Clarence) Yau of Kandern, Germany and Aric Lehman of Pandora, Ohio. She is a proud grandma to six grandchildren who love her very much; Caleb and Isaiah Mikesell, Austin and Silas Yau, and Andrew and Kelsi Lehman. Jason Johnson is also a special family friend who survives in Lexington, Kentucky.

Linda graduated from Buckeye Local High School in 1967 and went on to major in Elementary Education at Bluffton College. She graduated in 1971. She earned her master's degree in education from University of Dayton in 1991.

Throughout her career, she taught every level from preschool to high school and with students from all abilities. She taught at Kalida Elementary, Ottawa Glandorf High School, Temple Christian School, Marimor Schools, Brookhill Schools and Lima City Schools. She retired from teaching in 2011.

She was active in many church and community organizations throughout her life, including Women's Council at Bluffton University, Pandora Gilboa Rocket Boosters, Pi Delta Club at Bluffton University, Trysting Fellowship, WTGN Radio Station, Transport for Christ and other church groups.

The past ten years, she has been a faithful volunteer at Rally Point Youth Center in Lima, Ohio. She has been a committed member of St. John Mennonite church for over 50 years. Linda was a fantastic storyteller. She had a knack for language and a love of details that made her retelling of events sparkle and delight listeners. She is the proud owner of an extensive angel collection in memory of her daughter, Andrea. She faithfully followed drum and bugle corps each summer, attending the national competition each August in Indianapolis. One highlight of her life was serving as a volunteer for the Cadets when they held their summer training camp in Ada in 2018. The musicians soon recognized her and would seek her out to talk and laugh together.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2021, at St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora. Pastors Paul Perkins and Clarence Yau officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Mennonite Church Mission Fund, 15988 Road 4, Pandora, Ohio 45877 or the Rally Point Youth Center, 1698 N. Main Street, Lima, Ohio 45801. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
