LIMA -- Lorraine Taylor quietly passed away at home on 16 May 2025. She was born on 24 May 1930 in Rimersburg, PA to Howard C. and Ethel P. Walls Ferguson.
After moving to Lima in 1942, Lorraine graduated from Lima Central High School with the class of '48. Her first job, with the Lima Crane Co., eventually led to 23 years of service with Westinghouse where she worked in the "clean room" with a small group, building circuit boards for Nasa's shuttle program. She spent her final years of work as a clerk for the Claprood Floral Co of Lima. Lorraine loved working with the fresh cut flowers, and she enjoyed making deliveries to the floral shops in northwestern Ohio. She was highly admired by the florists on her route.
Lorraine is survived by a daughter, Jan (Larry) Cadden; a son, Scott Taylor, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Lorraine was preceded in death by a son, Mike Taylor; and two daughters, Judy Boop and Joyce Taylor. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ron Ferguson and two sisters, Mercedes Mechling and Ramona Perkins.
A private family service will be conducted in the future.

Lorraine was a very special lady, and felt as if she was a 2nd mother to me in many ways. So many memories of enjoying time at her home with family and many friends. My sincerest prayers for the family in this time of loss.
