LIMA -- Margie May, age 76, was called into the presence of the Lord at 2:51 a.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Wapak Manor.
Margie was born April 1, 1948, in Lima, OH, to the late Tomie and Ruth (Gibson) Caudill. On February 13, 1988, she married Ralph L. May who preceded her in death on July 22, 2016.
Margie attended Perry High School and The Ohio State University - Lima Branch. She retired from Nickles Bakery after more than 25 years of service. Margie loved the Lord and was a former member of the Ark of the Covenant Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and loved her rose gardens. Her greatest joy was her family, she loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Tamra 'Tammy' (Paul Clevenger) Ray of Wapakoneta; granddaughters, Amanda May (Kurtis) Rex, and Sasha (Pat) Boedicker; great-grandchildren, Faith Williams, Alexis Williams, Ava Boedicker, Landen Boedicker, and Naomi Boedicker; sisters, Murleen Thomas, and Maxine Edgington; brothers, Earl (Deb) Caudill, and Paul Caudill; brother-in-law, Joe Henderson; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Angel Clevenger, sisters, Allene Adkins, Reva Henderson, Helen Bahr, Eveleen Copeland, and Barb (Gary) Webb; brothers, Harold Caudill, and Frank (Wanita) Caudill; and brother-in-law, Sam Thomas.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. Rev. Arnold Wright will officiate the service. Burial will follow the service in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the funeral home.

Margie was a cousin of mine on my dad's side. She and Ralph were tax clients of mine for several years. I am very sorry to hear of her passing.
