INDIAN LAKE -- Paul E. Simon, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at The James Cancer Hospital, Columbus, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with three different cancers.
He was born on January 24, 1951 in Lima, Ohio to the late Evan and Dorothy (Baier) Simon. On April 29, 1978 Paul married Lucinda "Cindy" Price and she survives on Long Island Indian Lake, Ohio.
Also surviving are his three sons: John (Andrea Campoli) Simon of Ada, Brooks Simon of Arlington and Bruce Simon of Urbana; his treasured nine grandchildren: Shaun Simon, Nick Simon, Erick Simon, Leah Simon, Chayse Simon, Karlie Simon, Dru (Dylan) Pletcher, Colton Lauck and Spencer Lauck; four brothers: Steve (Diane) Simon, Rob Simon, Denny (Cheryl) Simon and Pat Simon; and two sisters: Susan Croft and Lori (Mark) Reichart.
Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Simon; and father and mother-in-law: Ralph and Dora Ann Price.
Paul lived the majority of his life in Ada before moving to Indian Lake to live out his and Cindy's dream of living on the water. As the boys were growing up, he coached baseball for many years, enjoying following them in all they did, as he did with the grandkids, loving and supporting them with such pride.
It was Paul's wish to be cremated. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
