To Mrs Ruth Snider and her Family:
In the late 1940's Mr Snider came to Beaverdam School and became our Jr Hi Social Studies teacher, then our HS Biology teacher, girls Phys Ed teacher, Principal and best of all, the boys Basketball Coach.
He was an excellent and challenging teacher and was able to take the small
number of boys in our small school and
and turn them into very good basketball
players. We won several championshios in our league. And had a lot of fun.
When my class of l954 wrote our memory letters for the 50th alumni Mr Snider was
the teacher most mentioned.
We were always pleased and honored when Mr and Mrs Snider came back to alumni, and it is sad that it can't happen again, but here is a big THANK YOU to both of you from the 1954 Class of Beaverdam HS.

I have the best memories of Grandpa Snider from growing up with Andrew. He was a staple at all of our sporting events, and always had a great story, funny joke, or words of encouragement to make us laugh and smile. My thoughts and prayers are with the Sniders and Fords -- he was a great man.

I went to Shawnee School with Paula. I remember a halloween party at the Sniders home. Mr and Mrs Snider were so nice. Mr Snider was also my bus driver. He was great. I remember Rick playing basketball. My heart felt sympathy to the entire family.

I grew across the street from the Snyder family. I am 10 years younger than Paul, but I still remember him. God's blessing to the family.

My sympathy to Paul's family and loved ones. We met when I was sports director of TV-18 in 1969 and from that time forward he would always recognize me, know my name and give me a warm greeting. In the ensuing years I left West Lafayette and returned many times before retiring and returning to the community 17 years ago. Our paths crossed often. He was one of the most genuinely warm and friend,y people I have ever known and will be missed. Rest in preace Paul and thank you for your service as one of The Greatest Generation.

Deepest sympathy to Ruth and the rest of the Snider family. Paul was just the best. Ruth and Paul welcomed me with open arms to the neighborhood many years ago and I have been truly blessed to "adopt" them. I will miss seeing Paul driving his big red truck: planting all his vegetables and sitting in his chair inside watching all the sports on numerous tv's and sitting with him outside chatting about what was happening in the neighborhood, at Purdue and around the world. I always so enjoyed hearing him talk about his time in the war and the time he visited my home town of Boston. I will sorely miss having him say "Hi, Neighbor" to me every time I saw him. He was one of the finest people I have ever had the pleasure and privilege of knowing. For now, I will say thanks Paul for everything and "Bye Neighbor" until we meet again.

Paul was one of the nicest men you could ever meet. We were fortunate enough to have him as a neighbor back in the 60's and 70's and both he and Ruth were the best. Paul always has a smile and was always engaging,he made you feel like part of his family. We'll never forget him...he was one of the good guys. Heartfelt condolences to his family...
