LIMA -- Pearl J. Ward, 91, of Lima passed away at 10:25 AM on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born June 4, 1934, in Continental, OH to Frank and Audrey (Hazelton) Windle, who both preceded her in death. On July 20, 1952, she married Richard "Dick" Ward, who preceded her in death on November 28, 2003.
Pearl was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, reading and sewing. She had a heart of gold and was always helping someone.
Surviving are her daughters Kay Dempsey and Susan (Bill) Maus both of Lima; her grandchildren Jason (Jana) Dempsey, Sherri Dempsey, Brian Dempsey, Brandon Ward, Michelle Evans and Lindsey Evans; her great-grandchildren Alyssa Coleman, Kaia Cotrell, Zoey Cotrell, Aria Cotrell, Gabriel Evans, Lance Ward, Kaleb Ward and Ellie Ward.
She was preceded in death by her sons Kenny and Mark Ward; her son-in-law Jerry Dempsey.
Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM prior to the service.
Interment of her cremated remains will take place in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice.

I am so sorry for your loss. Pearl, was a wonderful person. We, our families, have known each other for at least 48 years. Pearl was so proud of her family, whether you were her own children or friends of her children, she welcomed you with open arms.
Pearl was such a gracious lady. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. God has welcomed her into his grace with open arms. Pearl will always live on in each and every one of her family members. May God keep you all in his arms at this time. I am sending you all my love, thoughts and prayers.
