DELPHOS — Richard "Dick" Joseph, 73, of Delphos, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born on April 14, 1944, in Lima, to John and Imogene (Lindeman) Joseph.
Survivors include two sons, Todd Joseph and Troy Joseph, both of Delphos; one daughter, Kim (Chuck Richardson) Joseph of Delphos; four brothers, Larry, Ron (Luwanna), Jim, and Roger Joseph, all of Delphos; three sisters, Janice VanVlerah of Oakwood, Mona Kay (Bob) Aldrich of Delphos, and Barb (Larry) Shorts of Defiance; four grandchildren, Trent and Caid Joseph, Dustin Long and Ryleigh Richardson; and his former wife, Kathy Joseph.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Ruth Ann "Sis" Slate, and Bonnie Fockler.
Dick retired from the City of Delphos where he worked in maintenance for over thirty years. He was a member of the National Guard, the Eagles and the American Legion in Delphos, and the VFW in Delphos and Spencerville. In his younger years, Dick played and coached softball. He was also a coach for Delphos Little League. He was a bowler and loved to fish Lake Erie and play cards. He was an avid Indians and Ohio State Fan. He loved to attend his grandchildren's activities.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. and one hour before the service on Friday. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery at a later date.
