NEW YOUR, NY -- Robert Michael "Mickey" Pollock, 82, of New York, NY, formerly of Spencerville, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 at New York Presbyterian Hospital, NY.
Mickey was born on August 4, 1943 in Van Wert County, OH to the late John Dale and Pearl (Winans) Pollock. He was a graduate of Spencerville High School in 1961 and after graduation, he started his life in Toledo, OH as an interior decorator, then to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands as a bank auditor. After St. Thomas, he moved to Minneapolis, MN where he installed insulation in homes before making his way to New York where he was a licensed realtor. In between his different careers and travels, Robert attended and graduated with a bachelors degree from Brown University. He lived the rest of his life in New York and passed away peacefully with his husband, Ian G. Longsworth by his side.
Robert loved to travel and one of his greatest passions was racquetball.
Robert will be forever missed by his husband, Ian G. Longsworth of New York; three siblings, Gary (Loretta) Pollock of Glenco, MN, John Pollock of Gardner, KS, and Debra DeLano of Ocala, FL; one sister-in-law, Cathy Pollock; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Don Pollock.
There will be a visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. Visitation will continue from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at the funeral home with Pastor Andrew J. Atkins officiating. Burial will take place following the funeral at Spencerville Cemetery.
