KENTON -- Roy Charles Wright, age 95, of Kenton, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Kenton Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born on October 4, 1930, in Cairo, Ohio to the late Harry C. and Lois N. (McCarty) Wright. He married Marilyn Snook in 1967, and she preceded him in death in 2022.
Surviving is a daughter, Cindy (Chris) Jones of Kenton, 2 stepchildren, Cindy Needham, Joe (Deb) Hauenstein, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Greg Wright, a great-grandson, Greyson, and his siblings, Dewey (Marg) Wright, Betty (Olin) Zurfluh, M. Eunice (Clair) Copus, and Helen E. (Reid) White.
Roy was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Northwestern Ohio Gem and Mineral Club, as well as the Bruckner Rock Club where he served as president for several years.
He had a love for gemstones and traveling with his wife Marilyn. They traveled to all 50 states.
Funeral services for Roy will be private. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Roy's honor may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Roy was the son of Harry and Lois , very good friends of my grandparents, Charles and Nora Stover. They went on many adventures together . I have pictures of them out on their travels . I remember their home near Elida. I grew up by Gomer. My parents were Fern and Arnie Little.
