SIDNEY -- Tammy D. Burton, age 63, of Sidney, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at her residence. She was born June 30, 1962, in Bowling Green, Ohio, to the late Gilbert Zachrich Jr., and Janice Dee (Stratton), who survives in Lima.
Tammy was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Herbert Burton. She is survived by children: Mark, Monte (Loretta), Garth, Nathan, Joshua, Rachel, Latasha, Justin, Luke, Heather Burton, and Stacy Hunt, thirty-two grandchildren, siblings; Teresa Jarvie, Ray Zachrich, Gene (Candy) Zachrich, Tina Cotterman and June Rushlow, all of Lima.
She was preceded in death by children; Julie and Wade Cotterman, daughter-in-law Robin Burton (late wife of Garth Burton), sister-in-law Shirley Osborne and brother-in-law Donald Osborne, Janice Johnson and brother-in-law James Johnson.
Tammy retired after twenty years in customer service. She enjoyed feeding wildlife and baking with the family. She sacrificed and gave her entire life to raise, love and nurture a family of nine children, and the many grandchildren that followed. Her family was her greatest accomplishment and her greatest fulfillment in this life.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Only Believe Ministries, 13815 Botkins Road, Botkins, Ohio. Funeral service will commence at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kylan Booser officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Meaningful Life Ministries in Sidney, in Tammy's memory.
