Betty and family, I was a friend of your daughter Deb, and I met both you and Ted when he was a patient at Lima Memorial two or three years ago. I visited Ted then in my role as volunteer chaplain there. What a delightful man he was. I know you are assured of his place in heaven now, but it has to be hard to think of living without him. Prayers for strength, peace and comfort for you and all your family.

What a life that Ted lived. We worked together at SFS after his first retirement from the refinery and he worked around all of us at his age. He hated to be helped or us trying to do his job, he would make sure He had the tool to the job and was not giving it up till it was done. He would have the greatest stories about his life and I couldn't get enough. I was in charge of checking on Ted ever so often in the shift and I looked forward to it. I know I will always have a special part of my life that was touched by Ted forever and I couldn't even imagine how many other people he did the same with. Very sorry for your loss and God bless.

Where do I even begin, I have known Ted my entire life, starting out at Lake Amanda Ted and Betty presented me with a beautiful Dakes Bible that I still have and refer to often, over the years there have been many talks of our Lord and Savior within our homes and families. Best friends to my parents Norman Lynn and MaryAnn Stemen for something like 60 years, they used to be over so often that when I was young I thought Betty was my mothers sister,I have been woken many nights too late night games of cards. What a wonderful devoted and faithful husband and father, and friend. So grateful that we had an opportunity to visit just last Tuesday, and read all the Scriptures to him that Heidi put up on the wall, what a special blessing to be surrounded by Gods word. Yes it is sad for us of his passing but what a glorious reunion he will have with his daughter and family in heaven I pray for comfort and peace as the family goes through this process, and have no plans to stop visiting Betty, what a true inspiration You have all been in my life. My prayers will be with you always.
