Vernon Neff Obituary
LIMA — Vernon W. Neff, age 95, of Lima passed away 10:05 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Roselawn Manor. He was born Dec. 26, 1922 in Lima to the late Alva John and Bessie May McMillen Neff. He married Margery A. Archer, his wife of 75 years, March 6, 1943 who survives.
Vernon had been a lifelong farmer in Allen and Auglaize Counties and was a member of the Lima Farmers Club. He attended Hume United Methodist Church.
Additional survivors include children Marsha Baker of Pensacola, FL and William G. 'Bill' (Nancy) Neff of Lima, grandchildren: William Page (Sarah) Baker of Pensacola, FL and Shannon R. (Fred) Neff of Lima and 3 great grandchildren; sister Evelyn J. Smith of Cridersville and sisters-in-law: Jean Neff of De Graff and Mary Lou Neff of Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Alva J. 'Brownie' Neff, Jr, Jimmie A. Neff an infant brother Richard and a grandson Christian M. Neff.
The funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 8th at Hume United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the services and online condolences may be shared at BayliffAndSon.com.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the SPC Christian M. Neff Memorial Scholarship Fund at Apollo Career Center or Hume United Methodist Church.

Dear Mrs. Neff, Bill & Nancy & family,
We were saddened to hear of Vernon passing. Very glad we got to witness over the 30+ years his love of the land and the love of his family. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Although Chris and I can't make visitation as we are working. I'm sure we will be speaking over the summer and coming years. Memories will get you through. Chris and Ann Fisher, Benjamin and Elizabeth(Alex) Jones.
