Willie Houston Obituary
WESTVALLEY CITY, UT -- Willie Clarence Houston, age 59 of West Valley City, UT and formerly of Lima, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 9:10 p.m. at Intermountain Medical Center, Murray, UT.
He was born Feb. 18, 1963 in Lima, OH, to Willie C. and Ethel L. (Chukes) Houston who preceded him in death. His longtime companion, Odessa Jennings, survives in West Valley City, UT.
He was a father to: Nataya Reeder (who passed May 31, 2020), Shaunte (Aaron) Upshaw of Lima and Amber Houston of Cincinnati; thirteen grandchildren: Joseph, Alaja, Nathaniel, Ajvaire, Damari, Chyna, Calvin, Samuel, Airy'onah, Lamont, Jai'veon, Jai'lynn and Zenjai; and two great-grandchildren: Grayson and Nathaniel, Jr. He is a brother to the following siblings: Norma Houston, Roy Houston, Robin Houston and Anthony Simpson all of Lima. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Houston (who passed July 14, 2008).
He enjoyed sitting on his front porch listening to old R & B music. Working on cars was a hobby of his. His greatest joy in life was playing with his grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, with Rev. Bruce Monford officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
