Helen Day Obituary

Helen Joann Day, 76, of Union, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. Helen worked as a housekeeper for the Drawbridge Inn for many years. She was known for her love of family and the joy she found in simple pleasures. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, tending to her flower beds, and spending time in the garden. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, and she loved decorating her home to celebrate the season. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Mary Chapman, and sisters, Virgie Diane Chapman and Vivian Blevins. Helen is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Bradley Day; daughter, Alicia Joann Day (Cody Hampton); grandchildren, Bridget Joann Alexander and Michael Paul Alexander; brother: William "Buddy" (Beverly) Chapman, Andrew (Connie) Chapman, and Raymond Chapman; as well as many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 12:00 PM at Linnemann Family Funeral Homes, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY. Online condolences can be made at www.linnemannfuneralhomes.com.

maw maw you was the #1 best and thank you so much for all you did for me And I miss you soo much God bless maw maw you was funny always happy and love to do her out side wark and she was really strong with the cancer and all the fun we did all together and thank you for the food when he was hauling water and it not going to be the same with out maw maw like to put up her Halloween stuff it was fun and all the fun we did together I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND MISS YOU AND NOW YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT CANSUR NO MORE.

Momma, I miss you with all my heart. We had some good times together. You were my everything. I hate cancer I'm sorry you had to be in pain everyday but least now your not. You made everything better in life holidays, Birthdays now when a holiday comes up it's not the same. I miss everything bout you this Halloween isn't gonna be the same either your favorite holiday. I miss and love you so very much. You were taken away from me too soon. Your forever in my heart. Love ya momma forever and always your favorite daughter

To my loving Maw maw thank you for everything you done for our family you mean soooooo much to us and i hope you're up there in heaven with your loving sisters and your mom we are really going to miss you on the holidays like Christmas, Mothers day, Thanksgiving, and your favorite Halloween we have so many good memories together like when we went shopping, Plant flowers in the summertime, Drive around town going to different places you always putted other people first then you took care of yourself and none is ever going to take your place we love you with all are hearts and well see you soon when its our time! -Bridget(Granddaughter14)
