JOSE LEONEL ARCE
MARCH 28, 1936 - NOVEMBER 26, 2020
Jose Leonel Arce, 84, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Thursday, November 26, 2020.
Jose was born and raised in Laredo and attended Martin High School and Laredo Junior College. He married the love of his life, Maria De Lourdes Moctezuma, in 1958 and together they had 10 children and were married for 62 years. Jose worked for many years at the Laredo Bridge System where he lastly held the position of Bridge Superintendent before his retirement. Jose was happiest when he was at home or spending time with his loved ones at the family ranch.
Jose was preceded in death by his son, Jorge Alberto Arce; parents, Perfecta and Pascual Arce, sisters, Maria Lilia Arce, Bertha Arce, and brother, Abraham Heriberto Arce.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Maria De Lourdes Moctezuma Arce; children, Jose Leonel Arce, Jr, Maria De Lourdes (Agustin) Luna, Adriana Elena Arce, Anna Clarissa Arce, Margarita Cecilia Arce, Carlos Javier (Roxanne) Schroeder-Arce, Jaime Gerardo (Esmeralda) Arce, Monica Luisa (Joe Martinez) Arce, Roberto Esteban Arce; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Hortencia Arce Garcia, Audelia Arce Vaughn, Leonor Rosario Arce Sansoni; numerous family and friends.
The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday evening, December 1, 2020 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning, December 2, 2020 departing at 9:40 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jaime G. Arce, Roberto E. Arce, Jose L. Barrera, Jr, Eric Martinez, Joe Martinez, Jose Torres, Jerry Sanchez, Carlos Javier Schroeder-Arce and Honorary Pallbearer; Jose Leonel Arce, Jr.
