Robert Eichorst Obituary

Robert Nicholas Eichorst, Sr, 94 joined our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in his heavenly kingdom on Saturday, August 17, 2024. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years Maria Margarita Eichorst, parents Martin C. and Elvera M. Eichorst.

He is survived by his sons Robert N. Eichorst, Jr. and Ronald D (Erin) Eichorst; grandchildren, Jaime (Jason) Goodman, Amanda (Caleb Weeks) Eichorst, John Eichorst, Violet Eichorst and Angel Eichorst; great grandchildren Jenna, Jaxon, Caroline, Hayden and Hannah; sister Phylis Hladik and sister-in-law Maria Magdalena Guajardo; Nieces, Nephews and other relatives. Thank you Elida, Marisol, Sonia and Judy for your amazing care and friendship for the past five years.

Robert (Bob) was born in Dunkerton, Iowa and served his country in the U.S. Navy on board the U.S.S. Lofberg (DD-759) during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1955. Upon discharge he rejoined the John Deere Tractor Company that sent him to Laredo where he met and married Margie. He retired in 1984 after 36 years of faithful service.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a memorial service at 6:00 pm at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Road.

Inurnment Services will be held on Thursday, September 5th at 11:30 am at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
