Anna DeValle Obituary

Anna Pauline DeValle passed away peacefully at home, Thursday morning, June 9, 2011, less than a month shy of her 94th birthday.  The middle child of Thomas and Anna Williams, Pauline was born in San Francisco, CA in 1917.  She attended high school in Sacramento, CA, worked for the Dept. of Motor Vehicles, and then married Alfred Joseph DeValle in 1941.  She opted to become a stay at home mom, where she devotedly and lovingly cared for her four children and her husband.
In 1964 the family moved to Lodi where Pauline experienced the joys of the golf course.  She was proud of her 9 hole Womens' Championships won at Woodbridge C. C.  She also co-founded the St. Anne's Bridge Club which raised money for local charities.
Her greatest love was reserved for family.  She was preceded in death by her husband Al and her sisters Charlotte Faraclas and Dorothy Oliveri.  She is survived by her four children, Ronald DeValle (Gloria), Diane DeValle-Isika, Steven DeValle (Sheri), and Paul DeValle (Julie).  Pauline's 9 grandchildren have many memories and stories to share with her 9 great grandchildren.  In the last year of failing health Pauline was watched over, doted over, and lovingly cared for by her caregiver Teresa Rivera.
Visitation will be at Donahue's Funeral Home, 123 N. School St., Lodi, between 9:00 am and 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 15.  Funeral and committal will be just for family.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Asera Care Hospice, 2529 W. March Lane Suite 101 Stkn. CA 95207, or St. Mary's Dining Hall 545 W. Sonora St. Stkn. CA 95203.
