Joseph Pico Obituary

Joseph A. Pico passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 11, 2011 in Carson City, NV. Joseph was born on January 1, 1959 in San Diego, CA.
He grew up as a child in San Diego and as a teenager moved to the Lodi area with his mother and brothers and attended Lodi High. Joseph worked for several years at JCPennys in Lodi and also worked for Payless Drugs.
In 1993 Joe started working for a pharmaceutical Company as a Courier driver and after a few years Joe had his own business, Joe's Courier Service. In 2010 he lost his business because of the economy. In August 2010 Joe, his wife Carol, and his mother moved to Carson City, NV to find work. Joe worked for Wal-Mart in Carson City until his death. He was always a very hard worker and provided for his family.
On February 14, 1986 Joseph married Carol Wright at First United Methodist Church where he was a member. Joseph enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, the mountains, and going to the ocean. He also enjoyed a day out shopping with his wife. But most of all he loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was very proud of them.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Carol (Wright) Pico. His mother Jackie Pico, step children (whom he thought of as his own) Jenny, Vanessa, and Kevin Rodriquez of Lodi.
He is also survived by his brothers Mark Pico (Kerrenia), Russ Pico, Tommy Pico, and Paul Pico. His grandchildren Jacielle Rodriquez, Casondra Buche, Zackary Schellenger, and Elizabeth Rodriquez. Mother-in-law Joyce Wright and brother-in-law Ken Wright (Jan). Nieces Kayla, Ashley, and Melissa Pico. Nephews Tommy Pico, and Jim Watson.
He was proceeded in death by his father Joseph Pico, father-in-law Henry E. Wright, and nephew Todd Watson.
Joseph will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him and will forever be in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at First United Methodist Church 200 W. Oak St. Lodi. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Carol Pico to help with funeral expenses. Donations can be made to Jenny Rodriquez c/o Carol Pico, P.O. Box 1501 Lodi, CA. 95241, or in his memory to First United Methodist Church.

I have just learned of my friend Joe Pico. I worked for with Joe at Payless and just remember his face and smile...like he always cared and the sun shined on him all the time. Never saw him angry unless we were at wrestling events. Although I haven't seen Joe in over ten years...He is a guy if you were to have blessed to know him, if even for only a day...his life is one I will always remember. Thank you Joe and I will miss you.
