Kim Kammerer-Leonhardt Obituary

Born in Lodi, CA on December 7, 1954 and entered into rest on May 23, 2010 at the age of 55.
Preceded in death by father Walter and grandson baby Vincent. She will be dearly missed by mother Louise; sister Kipp; daughter Stephanie and husband Zach; son Brandon; three grandchildren, Rosemary, Roxanne and Brittney; and her aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was a loyal and dedicated mother, oma, daughter and friend. She loved hosting holidays, gardening, cooking, sports and reading a good crime thriller. She found great joy in her family and was very passionate about upholding family traditions. She worked very hard in life to ensure those she loved succeeded. Her contagious laugh and smiling eyes always filled the room with joy. You will be in our hearts forever and ever.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, June 1 at 2:00PM at Mount Vernon Mortuary, located at 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA 95628, with a reception to follow.

My Dear Niece Kim,
Life was way too short for you. I am glad that you had a chance to have time with your two darling Granddaughters rosie and Roxiebefore it was your time to leave us. We will all miss you. God is so good though, he made sure that you and your Mother got to spend the last Mothers Day together, and tell each other how much you loved each other, and Stephanie and Brandan too. I will do my best to take good care of your Mother. I know her heart is broken right now. I just pray we will all be in Heaven together when Jesus comes to take us home with him. Love Aunt Loddie

My heart is reaching out to you,
For what you’re going through;
I’m thinking of you frequently
And praying for you, too.
If there’s something I can do,
Anything at all,
Think of me thinking of you,
And don’t hesitate to call.

Dear Mom, I still cannot believe you are gone. I don't know that I will ever believe it. Say it isn't true. All I know is that your knowledge, love, and strength will be my guide in helping me through losing you. You will live on forever in us and your grandchildren. We will take everything you have taught us and apply it to the rest of our lives, until we are able to be with you again. Now I know my son has his Oma even though your grandchildren here will miss out on a lifetime of Oma's special love and compassion. Mom, another huge part of me is now missing first my son and now you. I will trudge through with the strength you have always displayed. I will make sure to keep Brandon safe, your grandbabies safe, Nanny safe, and your loving son-in-law Zach safe. You won't need to worry about anything anymore ever again. Now you will live in peace with Pops, baby Vinny, and all the others that have gone before. Please help us stay strong Mom. There is so much more I wish I could say to you. Most of all I love you with all of my heart and you were the best Mom anyone could ever hope for because you never gave up and either will I Mom. There are oceans in between us but thats not very far. I will be with you again Mom. Love Always, your daughter

To Kim's Family,

I had the good fortune to work with Kim for the past four years, during which time she was my secretary for roughly two years. As a coworker, she was devoted, candid, diligent, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable and capable. As a friend, she was equally loyal, frank, warm, fun-loving, thoughtful, and giving.

I learned from my many conversations with Kim how proud she was of her family, how much she loved her mom, how deeply worried she was when Stephanie was having a difficult pregnancy, how tremendously sad she was (along with all of you) about losing Vince, how overjoyed she was when Stephanie and Zach had their baby girl, and how thrilled she was about Brandon's college graduation, world travels, safe return, and new job. Through all the ups and downs, Kim did a great job here at work.

It seemed to me in recent weeks and months that Kim was in as good of spirits as I have ever known her to be (and I sensed that was largely because things were going well for her loved ones). It comforts me to know that she enjoyed such a sustained period of happiness before she passed, even though I am so saddened that Kim did not get to savor such well-deserved contentment for many more years to come. I pray that the knowledge of her recent joie de vivre will bring similar comfort to each of you.

The fond memories I have of Kim will continue to inspire me. She was such a caring and devoted person, and I am richer for having known her. I hope that your many precious and tender memories of her and the cheerful and difficult times you shared together will help you all to celebrate a life lived well but cut short too soon.

With My Sincerest Condolences,
Brendan

I remember sweet Kim ever so fondly. We spent many years together going to the same schools. She was alway such a sweetheart and had this incredible smile and giggle. I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. May the many wonderful memories of Kim be with you all always.

With My Deepest Sympathy,

Jeannie Jensen
