I know at times You & I would butt heads when we spoke but when I was sick you visited me & I saw you as a totally different person. We were going to have another one of our talks but you checked out on me. Now since You are with Our Lord now I will be calling on you more. I know you are at peace now & you will be in my prayer always. Please save a place for me with out Lord.

It was a pleasure for me to know you for the past 15 years. You may have been a little rough around the edges but I came to know you as a very caring and loving individual. It was always an honor for me to serve with you at the Altar and to serve God's people as a Deacon under your direction. I hope to see you again one day in heaven.

Father Hayes will always have a special place in our hearts. He was a loving & caring man to all but most especially to the children. He always made time for the kids and they kept him smiling. He will be very much missed by all. The school wont feel the same without him wandering the hall and all the special things he did for the children of St. Anne's. We Love You Father Hayes!!

Father Hayes has always been, and will always be, a part of our family. We were fortunate enough to meet him when Tina took a teaching job in California right after she moved to Lodi. His leadership and participation at the school was a big reason why the Parish of St. Anne’s felt more like a family and not just a parish. He always took time to acknowledge everyone and took a genuine interest in what was happening in our lives. We will always feel a special connection to Father Hayes since we were lucky enough to have him baptize our oldest son Sean at St. Anne’s. One of the things we have missed most since moving from California has been the St. Anne’s Parish and mainly Father Hayes. We will always remember Father Hayes fondly.
