Richard Carli Obituary

Our beloved father and husband, Richard Eugene Carli, passed away peacefully in his home on March 22nd, 2024, at the age of 77.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy, son, Thomas (Marie) and his daughters Samantha (Kellen) and Jillian (Francisco), his granddaughter, Sofia, his grandson, James, his brother Tom (Jan) Carli and his sister Diane Gibson.
He was born in Jamestown, North Dakota on March 13th, 1947. After serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War, he returned home to California and eventually started working at the local cannery, Pacific Coast Producers. During his long career as a mechanic at the cannery, he would meet the love of his life, Wendy, with whom he would celebrate 40 years of marriage.
After his retirement in 2015, Rick enjoyed spending his days doing carpentry projects around the house, baking bread, watching sports, and most of all spending time with his family, especially his new granddaughter. Rick was immeasurably kind and was filled with gratitude.
His life was overflowing with humor, and even in tough times, he would find the richness and joy of life. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ann Maier and Tom Carli.
The family will not be holding a public funeral service, and will be celebrating his life privately.

Wendy, I'm still in shock over Rick's sudden passing. I have the picture of Rick holding his granddaughter on my desk and as I look at it I'm sad but also I see a very proud Grandpapa. I'm glad Rick had such a wonderful family to surround him with love. Please know you are in my prayers as you deal with such a loss. If you need anything please let me know. I think Rick is resting in peace. He was a good man, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Luv, Wayne & Debby Koepplin (Florence, Oregon)

Our hearts were so sad, to hear the news that Rick had passed.
May all your memories make you smile a huge smile. We know ours will.
Krissy and I were at my grandson James T ball game and there was a man
that really resembled Rick and I said to Krissy, that looks like Rick Carli. She said it really does, the next day Krissy heard the news of his passing. This made us feel as if he stop by to say Hi.
We love your family. The Babcocks. John Sybil and Krissy
