RONNALD "RON" BENTZ

Ronnald "Ron" Bradley Bentz passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the age of 61 in Lodi, CA.
Ron attended Lodi schools and was a proud high school graduate. As a young boy, he loved playing baseball on a local team. Many of his happiest childhood memories came from neighborhood friendships-hours spent playing outside, laughing, and making mischief. One of his favorite pranks was sneaking a frog into a neighbor's bed, a memory still shared with a smile.
Ron spent many years in construction, becoming a skilled cement layer. In his spare time, he enjoyed auto racing, a pastime that gave him the chance to spend meaningful time with his dad. Another pivotal chapter of his life came when he attended a program in San Francisco, an experience he often reminisced about. It was there that he formed a lasting friendship that remained close to his heart. While in San Francisco, he also worked for a moving company, a job he loved for the chance to meet new people and share his one-of-a-kind personality.
Ron is survived by his parents, Roger and Jackie Bentz; his loving sister, Shelli Hannah; and his younger brother, Richard Bentz. He leaves behind two sons, Ryann (Krista) Bentz and Zachery Bentz, as well as three grandsons and two granddaughters. He will also be deeply missed by his 11 nieces and nephews, all of whom carry fond memories of their time with him.
Ron had a way of bringing joy wherever he went. He greatly loved his family and was always "one of the kids," fun-loving and full of laughter. His generous heart was well-known-he would give you his last dollar without a second thought. Those who knew him best will remember his infectious smile, booming laughter, and playful spirit.
A viewing will be held at Lodi Funeral Home on October 1, 2025, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a Rosary to follow. A Mass will take place at St. Anne's Church on October 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a lunch reception at the Eagles in Lodi, CA.
