George Miller Obituary
SWITZER, W.Va. — George Estill Miller, 74, of Switzer, departed this life Mon., Feb. 3, 2014 in The Charleston Gardens Hospice House.
Born Dec. 10, 1939, in Glen Alum, he was a son of the late George Buster and Pearl Dotson Miller.
Estill served in the U.S. Air Force, was a coal miner, attended the Switzer Church of God and was a No. 1 Fan of the Logan Wildcats known as "SUPER CAT".
Those left to cherish his memories include two sons, Timmy (Kammy) Miller of Holden and Jamie (Joy) Miller of Indiana; one daughter, Stefanie (Allen) Thorne of Mud Fork; one brother, Dallas (Diane) Miller of North Carolina; one sister, Charlene (Arron) Fogerson of California; two aunts, Evelyn Bivens of Ohio and Ethel Browning of Logan; seven grandchildren, Josh (Tiffany) Miller, Ryan Miller, Adam Miller, Jason McCloud, Ashleigh Preece, Kaenon Osborne, and Grayson Miller, and one great-granddaughter Millee Neece.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Fri., Feb. 7, at Switzer Church of God with Pastor Harold McMillen officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Estill is a GREAT MAN and he and my Father were great friends! Every time he would visit with my Dad and I, or we would go to visit with him, he was AWAYS laughing, being as special as only he could be, and would make us laugh and put a smile on both of our faces! One of my fondest memories is when he was on the basketball court supporting our Logan Wildcats, and firing up our fans, in his “SUPER CAT” outfit during the state basketball championships in Morgantown! THAT was TRULY OUTSTANDING! May GOD bless you and your family Estill! I'm sure that both Dad and you are having a BLAST together in Heaven right now! I sure do miss you so much already! GOD Bless you my (Our!) friend!!!

I live in Hickory, NC and sometimes it was hard to find someone to cut my moms grass in Pine Creek . Estill came and started cutting it even at his age. He had such a large heart. I would call him from time to time and when I visited home to thank him.

Estill was an amazing man and dear friend..He was the one who helped me after I had my daughter and no where to go..I will never forget the love this man had for so many..his laugh and always smiling..My thoughts and prayers go out to his family..Logan lost one of its finest..but God needed him more..R.I.P my dear friend..Love you for all you did and the lives you touched!!..Gone but never forgotten..I miss you already my friend

So sorry too learn of my buddy's passing. I grew up with him. All those years from Logan Bowling Center when I was just a child too spending at least two nights a week for years in the other establishments we patronized. And later in the years from him visiting my home and doing things with my own children when they were little. Many many great memories with this man. RIP my great friend.

Estil was a beloved member of our centennial graduating class (LHS 1963). Estil never met a stranger and was known to most everyone in school. He was always upbeat and willing to befriend others. He had his own inimitable personality that endeared him to anyone who knew him. His memory will endure and he'll still bring a smile to my face each time I think of him. My prayers and condolences go out to his family and loved ones.
