Daniel Goss Obituary
Born Nov. 23, 1938 in Marion Township, Hocking County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Melvin Elmo and Marjorie Josephine (Wolley) Goss.
Daniel was a self-employed carpenter and formerly worked for the Boys Industrial School in Fairfield County, Ohio. Dan greatly enjoyed woodworking and farming.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Sue (Humphreys) Goss; one son, Jason Russell (Trisha) Goss of East Hampton, Connecticut; two daughters, Heidi Jane (Bradley C.) Glaze of New Straitsville, Ohio, and Leah Beth Cherrone of New Carlisle, Indiana; three brothers, Rondel Parker (Mary Jeanne) Goss of Rockbridge, William McArthur (Rita) Goss of Lancaster, and Harley Emerson (Barbara) Goss of Rockbridge; one sister, Beverly Jo McVey of Logan; sister-in-law, Linda A. Goss of Rockbridge; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Perry "Bud" Goss; one brother-in-law, Ted McVey.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 at Shepherd of the Valley United Brethren in Christ Church in Logan, Ohio, with the Rev. Jason Sheets officiating.
Friends may call at the church Thursday from 5 p.m. until time of service.
Family suggests contributions in memory of Dan may be made to Living Waters Ministries - 9702 East Hwy 221, Pine Mountain, Kentucky 40810.
Arrangements are by Roberts Funeral Home - Logan, Ohio.
