Madelyn Schein Obituary
Maddy May was the most amazing and funny second grader. She had the most incredible love for life and adventure. Maddy lived every single second to its fullest and always had a smile on her face that was contagious. She was never afraid to try new things, riding every last ride at Disney (Tower of Terror being her favorite)! Maddy was the lover of all things avocado and never met a taco she didn't love! She earned the name "Wreck-it-Ralph" by breaking everything she touched! "Sawry!"
Maddy was a proud member of the Hocking County Children's Chorus, Little Chief's Basketball (#12) and First Baptist Church in Logan, Ohio. She had the very best group of friends a girl could ask for! Charlie, Hayden, Lauren, Molly, Lily, Millie, Connor and "The Blakes" - you guys meant the world to her!
She is survived by her parents; one sister, Abby Schein; grandparents, John and Eileen Schein and Lee and Diane Hillyer; great-grandmothers, Ruth Buehler and Sharon Hillyer; aunts and uncles, Amy and Florian Deruette, Matt and Yancey Roberts-Schein, Jeremy and Loretta Schein and Leslie Schein-Brown and Cody Brown; and cousins, Max and Mara Caisse, Sydnee and Jacob Brown, Aaron Schein, Loreli and Landon Corbell, Lane, Connor and Scarlet Schein, Mary, Elle and Ammryn Roberts.
Maddy was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Gordon Buehler, Jerry and Joan Connor and a very special great-uncle, Mark Buehler.
We would like to extend our unending gratitude to the staff at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Hocking County EMS, MedFlight and Nationwide Children's Hospital for the tremendous amount of care and compassion you showed for not only our girl but our entire family. We are forever grateful to you!
A funeral service to celebrate Maddy's brilliant life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio with Pastor Lucas G. Moncada officiating. Live streaming via the Roberts Funeral Home Facebook page will be available.
She will be laid to rest immediately following the service in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
