Nancy Bennington Obituary
Born Feb. 6, 1949 in New Plymouth Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Murle Lester and Nettie (Jackson) McDaniel.
A 1967 graduate of Starr-Washington Township High School, Nancy went on to study at the Ohio State University School of Cosmetology, graduating in 1969. Nancy then channeled her love of baking and cake decorating into co-owning the Bennington Bakery before retiring from the Walmart Bakery. She attended the Hocking Hills Global Methodist Church in Logan, Ohio. Above all, Nancy loved her family. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cherished the yearly family beach vacations that she was able to take with her children.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Reverend Ricky L. Bennington; son, Kevin D. Bennington of Lancaster, Ohio; daughter, Christy (Casey) Jones of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Shandi (Toby Hunter) Bennington, Kobi Bennington, and Jeremy Jones; and great-grandchildren, Kayson Bennington, Wyatt Hunter, and Dakota Hunter.
Aside from her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Mary Bennington-Nelson.
A funeral service officiated by Pastor Jim Lambert will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until time of service on Monday, July 28, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, the Bennington family suggests donations may be made in Nancy's memory to Fairhope Hospice, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, OH 43130 (fairhopehospice.org).
