Rickie Howdyshell Obituary

Rickie Howdyshell, age 66, of Logan, Ohio passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2024, at Doctor's Hospital West in Columbus, Ohio.

Rickie was born March 3, 1957, in Logan, Ohio to Walter (Tate) Howdyshell and Linda Shepherd. He enlisted in the Army after high school and was honorably discharged due to a mental illness. Rickie is now home pain-free, no longer suffering with his mental illness.

Rickie is survived by his son; Joel Howdyshell of Marietta; brother, Kevin Howdyshell of Logan; sister, Amy (Dennis) Kehl of Logan; stepfather, Dave Shepherd of Logan; aunts, Norma Palmer and Lorraine Howdyshell; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rickie was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Davis; brother-in-law, Bruce Davis; and grandparents, Dewey and Audra Howdyshell.

Calling hours will be observed Saturday, Feb. 17 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., with services following at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio. Burial at Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio, at a later date.
