Janet Gayle Heig Janet Gayle Heig, 76, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at her home in Sun City West, Arizona. She was born on July 11, 1945, to the late James Earl and Mabel Byrd (Trimble) Mackey in Woodbine, Iowa. She attended Grand Island High School graduating with the class of 1963. On February 18, 1983, she married Terry James Heig in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Janet worked in banking and computers for Norwest Banks. Janet enjoyed gardening, quilting and spending time with friends and family. Janet is survived by her loving spouse of 38 years, Terry; four children, Gayle (Noel) Trout of Temecula, California, Richard Pankratz of Monticello, Minnesota, Kimberly (Tom) Simmons of Omaha, Nebraska and Kristopher (Andrea) Heig of La Vista, Nebraska; sister, Marilyn Connell of Omaha; grandchildren, Alex (Billy) Mejia of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Christian Trout of Reno, Nevada, Adam Trout of Reno, Michael Heig of La Vista, Karsen Trout of Missoula, Montana, Taylor Stackhouse of Ames, Iowa, Abby Heig of Lincoln, Nebraska, Aiden and Cohen Stackhouse of Omaha, Tony Heig of La Vista; and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and four sisters. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Fouts Funeral Home in Woodbine, Iowa.
