AGNES HAMILTON Obituary

Agnes Hamilton of Sparkill, NY, formerly of Pearl River, NY, died February 16, 2007 at Nyack Hospital. She was 101. Mrs. Hamilton worked as a registered nurse for St. Elizabeth Hospital in Manhattan and the Methodist Home in Bronx, NY. Mrs. Hamilton was born December 27, 1905 in Blackpool, England and grew up in Scranton, PA. She lived in Pearl River for 22 years before moving five years ago to Dowling Gardens in Sparkill, NY. Mrs. Hamilton was a survivor of the 1918 flu epidemic. During WWII she was a nurse with the Red Cross. Locally, she was a parishioner of St. Aeden's R.C. Church and a member of the Pearl River Senior Citizens A Club. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Kney, of Nyack, NY, grandchildren Susan Goldrick and husband Robert of Pearl River, NY, Gerard Kney of Nyack, NY, Barbara Kney-Wilson and husband Robert of Pearl River, NY and Jack Kney of Santa Monica, CA. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Megan and Kaity Goldrick and Alex, Maddie and Anna Wilson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM, Wednesday, at St. Aedan's R.C. Church. Burial will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Monsey, NY. Visiting is Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to St. Aedan's Building Fund, 23 Reld Drive, Pearl River, NY 10965, or Nyack Hospital.
