ARTHUR BROCKWAY Obituary

Arthur J. Brockway, formerly of Suffern and Middletown New York, passed away suddenly on May 13 at his residence in Mc Kinney Texas. Arthur served honorable in the United States Navy. Mr. Brockway, who had over 40 years of professional engineering experience, was employed in the greater New York area over the course of his career by Berkey Photo, GAF Corporation, Farrand Optical and NV Phillips. He retired from Raytheon Electronic Systems in Dallas, Texas, in 2002. After his retirement, he worked at the ATI Technology Training Center in Dallas, Texas. Arthur was predeceased by his wife, Jay Shoemaker, formerly of Middletown, NY. He is survived by his sons Arthur Brockway of Hollywood, Florida and Kevin Brockway of Gainesville, Florida, his father Alvin Brockway of Beaver ,PA., his sister and brother-in-law Eleanor and Fred Miller of Deer Park, NY, his nephews Fred and Dan Miller, and his brother Alvin Brockway Jr., of Queens, NY, and his stepdaughter Dawn Acheson and stepgrandson A.J. Dunn. He is also survived by his former wife Mary Brockway Ruggiero of Suffern, New York. A Memorial Service will be held on May 23 at the Turrentine- Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Mc Kinney. I saw a memorial plaque to Captain Arthur J Brockway in an antique store in Salamanca, NY. I took a picture as I believe some family member might like it. If so, I can email a photo.
