BENJAMIN JACARUSO Obituary

Benjamin Jacaruso, a four year resident of Wallkill, NY, formerly of Rockland County, died on October 27, 2004 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 87. Born on June 24, 1917 in Spring Valley, NY, he was the son of the late Benjamin J. Jacaruso, Sr. and Pearl Thompson Jacaruso. He served in the U.S. Navy, World War II, and in the Phillipines with The Sea Bee's. He married Ann Kozoh Jacaruso on September 20, 1941 in Spring Valley, NY. He was employed as a Master Plumber for Local Union 373 U.A., retiring as Deputy Sheriff, Rockland County. He was a devoted husband and loving father. He will be sadly missed by his family. He was a member and past commander of American Legion Kearsing Edwards Post 1600, Pomona, NY and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his daughters: Bonnie Lester and Annette Jacarsuo, both of Wallkill, NY; a sister, Charlotte Nadel, Nanuet, NY; grandchildren: Rene Bruno and husband, Anthony; Thomas J. Walker, Benjamin Lester, Raymond R. Davis, Jr.; Briana Davis, Nicole Cronin and husband, Scott, Anthony Jacaruso, Jodi Jacaruso and Cheryl Jacaruso; great-grandchildren: Gabrielle and Anthony Bruno, Nicholas Davis, Ashley Cronin, Mark Sloane, Harold and Kayla Burlingame; nieces: Christine Russo and Lorraine Cioffoletti. He is predeceased by his son, Anthony Jacaruso. Visitation Saturday, November 6 from 6-8 pm at Brooks-DiDonato Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held with military honors at 7:30 pm at the funeral home, with Father John Vondras officiating. Arrangements by Brooks-DiDonato Funeral Home, Newburgh (845)561-8300.
