Lujan, Benjamin A.

Benjamin A. Lujan, a resident of Tappan since 1976, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2012 with family at his side. Ben previously resided in Corona, Queens. He was born in Argentina to Benjamin and Eleuteria (Burucharri) Lujan on February 4, 1927. He arrived in the US in 1966 and was a checker for 32 years for the New York Shipping Long Shoremans Association before retiring in 2000.

Ben is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Carmen; his devoted children, Lillian Rinchiera and her husband Duilio and Gustavo Lujan; his beloved grandchildren, Salvatore, Christopher and Jordan Rinchiera and Florencia and Athina Lujan; his mother-in-law Ramona Montes; sister-in-law Tammy Manheim and her husband Bruce; nieces, Cynthia and Irma; and grand-nephews, Alex, Bernie, Jeffrey and David.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, 11:30am at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Tappan.  Visiting hours will be Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9pm at Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan,

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dominican Sisters of Sparkill, Sr. Mary Murray, 175 Route 340, Sparkill, NY 10976.
