Catherine Keane Obituary
AGE: 86 • New Rochelle
After a lifetime of love, laughter and friendship, Cathy Keane passed away peacefully on May 31, 2017, sweetly joining her husband, Bryan, in heaven on his birthday. Cathy was born in New Rochelle, NY on October 6, 1930 to Theodore and Bertha Eisele. Cathy married Bryan Keane on June 3, 1951 at Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle. They were married for 57 years before Bryan passed away eight years ago. Cathy's dedication to her family was her most defining trait. She leaves her daughters (and their spouses) Susan Ratz of Spring Lake, NJ; Patty and Rich Lau of New Milford, CT; Nancy and Ken Levy of Myrtle Beach, SC; Ellen and Kieran Stack of Poughkeepsie, NY and "her son, her son" Bryan and Sharon Keane of Oak Island, NC. What made her absolutely beam with pride and joy are her 11 grandchildren Patrick and Michael Ratz, Kaitlin Mantle (Tommy), Megan (Matt), Tommy (Emily) and Jimmy (Corinna) Lau, Bryan and Jennifer Levy and Kieran, Conor and Emma Stack. Cathy was recently promoted to "Great Nana" with the arrival of her two great granddaughters, Abigail Mantle and Caroline Lau. Cathy also leaves behind her brother- and sisters-in-law Matt and Joan Keane, Mickey and Susan Keane, Margaret Keane and Karen Keane as well as her nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son-in-law Michael Ratz, her brother-in-law, John Keane and her nephews, Kevin and Brendan Keane.
Cathy lived her entire 86 years on Pershing Avenue in New Rochelle where she was lucky to have fabulous neighbors whom she considered her greatest friends! Her door was always open and the coffee always hot!
Visiting will be Wednesday 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc., 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. Service and Interment will be private.
