DIANE BELJEAN Obituary

Diane Beljean, a 41 year resident of Pearl River, NY, died Friday, January 26, 2001 in Park Ridge, NJ. She was 72. Mrs. Beljean was born January 18, 1929 in New York City to Frederick Jenkins and Catherine Barry. Mrs. Beljean is a former member of the Rockland County Legislature and Staff Member to Assemblyman Eugene Levy. She was also a foster parent for 40 years. Locally she was a member of the Rockland County Conservative Party, Ombudsman at the Robert Yeager Health Complex, and a former Trustee of Rockland Community College. She is survived by her mother, Catherine Barry Kelley of New Rochelle, NY, father Frederick Jenkins of Bayside, NY; two daughters, Claudia Beljean of Norwood, NJ, Cynthia Periu of Montague, NJ; son, Christopher Beljean of San Diego, CA; and grandchildren Courtney and Amanda. She is also survived by two brothers, Douglas Jenkins of Bonita Springs, FL and Robert Jenkins of Bayside, NY. She is predeceased by her husband Albert F. Beljean in 1992. Visiting will be held Monday 7-9 pm and Tuesday 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral service will be held Wednesday 2 pm at The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Pearl River. Burial will follow Frederick Loescher Veteran Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY. WYMAN-FISHER FUNERAL HOME, INC 100 Franklin Ave, Pearl River (845)735-2161
