EDUARDO CIRUELOS Obituary

Eduardo Ciruelos (March 24, 1942 - July 31, 2010). Born in Madrid, Spain to Carmen Vela and Eugenio Ciruelos del Castillo. Eduardo was a gentle, loving soul who touched the lives of many people. Primarily, he dedicated his life to being an amazing father who loved his two children (Carlos, born June 30, 1978 and Tamara, born January 7, 1983) unconditionally. In 1968, Eduardo decided to take the challenge of moving to America. He landed in New York in April of that year. He married Belen Paz Martinez in January 1976. He built his career with Movado Group, Inc. (formerly North American Watch Corporation), starting in 1968. He worked with an unparalleled ethic and had a personal relationship with everyone whom he came into contact with. He fulfilled a dream of owning a home in a peaceful place and moved to Rockland in August 1986. Eduardo loved to travel and tell stories of the culture, history, and people he met. He was a natural teacher until his final moments. He loved the natural world, and he sought to inspire an awe and respect for nature. He loved the power, of art, history, and language. Eduardo was fluent in Spanish, English, and French. Most of all, he loved his family. He is survived by two brothers (Eugenio and Carlos), a sister (Lourdes), two children (Carlos and Tamara), a daughterin-law (Katie), two grandchildren (Victoria and Patrick), a niece (Monica), a nephew (Lucas), a cat (Felix) and a dog (Mugaroo). Although his physical presence is no longer with us, he is spiritually by our sides until we meet again. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:30AM at the Higgins Funeral Home in New City. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's church in Spring Valley at 12PM. MICHAEL J.
