EDWIN MESZYNSKI

Edwin Meszynski, of Hopewell Junction, NY died on May 17, 2001 at Vassar Brothers Hospital. He was 81. Mr. Meszynski was born on June 24, 1919 in Yonkers, NY to Karol Meszynski and Agnes Rozanski. On July 26, 1942 he married Josephine Rudick at St. Casimir's Church, Yonkers. He was predeceased by his wife on December 17, 1993. He was a Technician for Xerox in Manhattan and Tarrytown. He lived in Hopewell Junction since 1979 and prior to that lived in Yonkers. He was the founder, conductor and director of the Golden Age Singing Society, former conductor of the St. Denis Glee Club, Yonkers and the Dunwoodie Glee Club. Mr. Meszynski is survived by his son, Edwin C. Meszynski of Shirley, MA, sister, Helen Craben of Hopewell Junction, 2 grandsons and 3 great-grandchildren. Calling hours Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9:30 am at Blessed Kateri Church, Route 82, LaGrangeville. Interment St. Denis Cemetery.
