Eric Rivet Obituary
Eric Kirby Rivet of Orangeburg, NY, age 47, died unexpectedly on May 18, 2012. Eric was a gracious, kind, and generous man who was loved by many. As a young man he was a peerless athlete. He loved football, tennis, golf, astronomy, baseball, ping pong, Broadway shows and fine dining. Eric lived long enough to see his beloved Detroit Lions make the playoffs last season-Wow!! He had a place in his heart for every person who crossed his path and he will surely leave a space in ours. Our lives are better for having been touched by his gentle spirit. Eric is survived by his parents Paul and Diana Rivet of Orangeburg, NY, brother Clayton Rivet, sisters Heather Frame (Richard Emery), Leslie (Dennis) Budd, Robin Rivet (Stephen Stuverud), Gail (Galen) Riebling, and nephews Ryan and Dillon Frame.
He is also survived by his special cat Winken.
A Quaker meeting of silent worship will be held on Thursday May 24th, 2012, at 5pm at The Religious Society of Friends located at 60 Leber Road, Blauvelt, NY 10913 (845) 735-4214.
Following the service, we invite all to stay and join us to break bread together and celebrate Eric's life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jawonio of New City, NY or NAMI of Rockland County.
